-Xbox Controller support broke for most people. "A" button does not do anything on menus.
-Damage resistance to certain types of magic no longer works. A fireball kills a Flame Atronach. Some are reporting that armor also no longer works.
-Some are reporting that NPCs walk around nude.
-Lockpicking does not work. AT ALL.
-Instability, Crashes, FPS Issues, Stutters, etc.
-Dragons fly backwards. BACKWARDS. WTF?
-Wolves die without physics. They die and stay standing up.
- Bookshelves are completely broken. If you try to take books off your shelves they are taken but they still show on the bookshelf and you can't put them back.
-Some players are reporting that textures no longer look "High" only "Low" or "Medium"

Bethesda, really?

You still need to fix:

-Crap optimization
-Broken Quests
-Broken Dual-Wielding
-Followers, followed by physics glitches
-RAM!

Hilarious.

If the dragons had flamed out of their butts in addition to flying backwards, it would have been perfect.

Actually, from my point of view it fixed the awful "mouse misclick on wrong dialog/item to buy line" bug. Armor still works. Lockpicking still works and as for crashes, I didn't try long enough. I confirm that elemental resistances do not work anymore at all though. And that magic absorbtion STILL prevents you from summoning creatures at random XD

XBox controller support broke? Good ridance :D Nah, j/k. Try to reset all your options to the default values. Either the old ini file is badly incompatible with the new patch or something is broken when you reconfigure some actions so might as well try to play with default.

Yeah it does appear the lock picking is just a result of the game getting confused again so a reset of controls can square it away.

Still going to wait for a good week and see what-else pops up (with / without resolution) to see how bad it may really be. Will be testing a couple 580 by then anyway.

AnImpatientFan,

I have used the default settings for the xbox360 controller since game launch and now have in-navigable menus, 'Y' no longer works for applying favorites and the 'B' button does not do what it should in menus. It's is not a problem with changing to the default setttings - it simply does not work!

Also Bethesda,
I saw a post somewhere about a dev saying they only tested keyboard configurations that would be the most common. How did you not test the DEFAULT configuration? Reallllllllly?

The Y-mouse scale is too fast now. For instance, when sprinting, try and move left-right with the mouse... it will go slow. Then try and move up-down with the mouse while sprinting... it will go very fast.

I hate this.

Regardless of the problems, at least it shows that they really did spend extra time testing the PC version of the patch giving it extra love & attention, it wasn't pointlessly delayed just to ensure we didn't get it two weeks faster than console players.*

*Sarcasm may be present in this post.

Yay, found the quote;

http://forums.bethso...1#entry19511100

We're doing a little more testing internally. Should be ready by Wednesday.

Soooo... what was the outcome of the two weeks testing you did on the PC patch (the two weeks that coincided, oddly, precisely with the time it took for the Xbox certification process)? Teehee! :D

-Some are reporting that NPCs walk around nude.

This happened to me with 1.1 and couriers! (First one I saw naked was in Whiterun not sure what letter he gave me but I think it was one of a friend aka Word of Power)

This has always been one of the biggest problems with RPG's. Unlike MMO's, the lack of continuous revenue gives these companies little motivation to provide post-release support. Atleast with WoW, if the game isn't working satisfactorily, Blizzard has no choice but to fix it or else people quit paying.

I wouldn't set expectations too high with Bethesda to fix all these problems. They will probably fix the glaring, CTD type issues before the game peaks, but the rest of the issues will be left behind.

My personal favorite of the massive list of bugs this game has is the multiple clones of Louis Letrush standing near the stable of Whiterun. Too funny. I am seriously puzzled by the number of people saying they haven't seen any bugs or broken quests in this game at all, how is that possible outside of them just being delusional or just trying to lick the Jarl's boots? I've played through most of this game twice and have experienced totally different results both times. The first time around most of the quests worked with subtle conflicts; the second time around, many features and quests that did work before, were now broken, this was before the 1.2 patch mind you. Now with the patch it's rendered completely unplayable for me. In another two weeks my antivirus might try to remove the game from my system, mistaking it as a trojan horse.

I don't see that ever happening. CTD's are a signature trademark of Bethesda games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls. If you're gaming isn't freezing or crashing every hour or two, it's not working as intended.

What if it does it every minute inside major cities? What if I can only get between the Whiterun city gate and Dragonsreach half the time thanks to CTDs? That's a level of "unplayable" I have personally yet to see in any Beth game.

Except with MMOs, you have to deal with the lowest common denominator in gamers, so I don't think the trade-off is worth it.

Which is why we need a Oblivion-like creation kit asap so we can fix these issues ourselves.

I wonder what I am doing wrong, since everything they release always work fine on my end, and everyone else seem to have these huge, game-breaking bugs, glitches and errors with everything. I have had no problems at all with the latest patch either and I played the game for several hours last night. No dragons flying backwards and no problems with mouse movements or anything.

My machine is one year old and I'm running the game fine and without problems on High Settings. This game has ONLY been a very good investment for me and I haven't seen any brand-new game run this great on my system from the start before. You should all have seen how Civilization 5 performed at the beginning. Sigh.

I don't use any mods at all and I haven't even tweaked the .ini. The only thing I recommend for those having all these problems, is to try and run the game in total vanilla state and see how it works out. Otherwise, I really hope they fix all these things reported by my fellow PC-gamers! Rather, I have confidence they will, so don't lose hope!

That's what you get for buying a pure PC port.
Seriously, dont buy a game that is exactly like its video-game release, because its pure BS, its been 2 years since PCs overtaken the consoles in price per performance, every game must look better and run faster, theres no excuse not to. Its all developers being lazy and company being greedy.

And to make things worse, companies makes commitments with sony and microsoft to never allow PC version to get ahead of the consoles, which means patchs takes much longer than they should to be released, graphics can never look better and no exclusive content is allowed.

Only buy PC ports that ADD something over its consoles brothers, be it more ppl in multiplayer, exclusive textures, unrated blood/gore, extra levels, etc.

Otherwise, pirate it.
Tell the developers that we are no clows, we demand extra content, we demand games properly coded not poor ports that uses up all the system resources to deliver 2 years old graphics.
And most of all, we demand a game that is released when its ready, and not rushed to be released on a fancy date to be patched later.
TES is unique, there was no need to be rushed, theres no other title compete in sales.

:celebration: Great post and to the point. But you said yourself why it won't happen: There's simply more money to be had in making console games. PC gaming as we knew it, is dead. (btw, although I agree in principle, pirating will only make matters worse)
